The environment? Why should one such as The Great and Mighty Presto care if you mortals don't?

Well, It seems that more, and more mortals are starting to get obsessed over the idea of "protecting the planet", well The Great and Mighty Presto is convinced that it isn't protecting the planet they're obsessed over, but making themselves feel better about destroying it. Although everywhere you go, you see signs, or posters, or commercials telling you why what you're doing is bad and how you can help save the planet, how many mortals actually follow through on what they say and take action? In the ever-important experience of The Great and Mighty Presto, that number would be quite low. Even those who say that they're helping the environment and cutting down on waste, often are doing so very minimally, while it may help, The Great and Mighty Presto would like to inform you mortals that recycling every now and then as well as riding your little electric car around all the time, isn't going to magically reverse all harm done to the planet. At this point there is very little anyone can do to fix the issue, the number of mortals willing to help is far outnumbered by those who won't as well as businesses who trash the environment in order to maximize their profits. Even those who are "willing to help" aren't willing to fully commit, after all if you were to truly cut down all of your harm to the environment you would need to give up all of the comforts that fill your daily life, as well as things that at this point in society are necessary to your survival. "Going Green" and all that is at this point for the sake of making mortals feel better about themselves, rather than actually helping the situation. Take into effect electric cars, for one they aren't completely green, contrary to popular belief the methods used to create the electricity powering said cars is still polluting the environment, less so for sure, but not by enough to make any sort of impact at all. Then there's the fact that plenty of mortals are dropping cars that have plenty of years left in them to go pick up said electric car, and that waste of a working vehicle to pick up one that harms the environment ever so slightly less is a net loss not a gain. Mortals don't really care about whether or not the environment is saved anymore, they seem to care more for keeping their daily lives safe and feeling just enough to pin the blame on anyone besides themselves.

The Great and Mighty Presto is in search of the current goings-on of mortal society, and as such he was required to quest for a reputable source of news, after all this time is rife with "fake news" as The Great and Mighty Presto has been told. This search has been a difficult one, as evidently all sources of news seem to have been deemed fake. From those I have seen declared fake, I have ascertained that having any sort of coverage on events that would paint the current fuhrer in a negative light are fake. As such the quest for truthful information has been nigh-impossible, as filthy opinion-havers have seemingly taken over media. The Great and Mighty Presto has though heard of a new source that could prove promising, that being a website known as "The Onion", which by the title I was initially cautious, but the link also has told The Great and Mighty Presto that it is "America's finest news source", so it should prove promising. The Great and Mighty will now click on a random link on this site to test its legitimacy...

There we go. Now, from the looks of this it seeme so involve the latest fuhrer's administration, a perfect testing ground. So, it seems the GOP will institute a plan that will cut down on the waste of the poor's usage of food stamps? PERFECTION! The Great and Mighty Presto has for longer than any mortal could understand, longed for the poor to be eradi-regulated. It seems that this current administration understands the sentiment behind it though! This site surely must then be legitimate, look how gracefully it paints the current administration, not nearly as glorious as I, but still a fair bit. Also excitingly enough, no other source seems to share this information, which obviously means this site must just be that ahead of all others! The Great and Mighty Presto has finally found what he has been seeking for an entire twenty minutes! Oh what a glorious day!
